I came to re-writing, copy
editing and proofreading after a long career in Administration and
found I really loved working with words - both in correction and in
editing. I have a unique "feel" for just the right place for certain
text to be placed within the body of work and how to create a "flow" so
that the words convey exactly what the writer wants them to convey. I
am fast, efficient, accurate and 100% reliable. I also have many years
experience in typing and database work. I have great research skills
and the internet is my accompice in this. I love finding out new
information that fits a client's needs. One of my more recent contracts
was finding funding organisations to fit charities and social
businesses who needed project funding. When matched, I worked with the
charity/social business to complete a comprehensive application form to
strict funder requirements. Personal and spiritual development are my passions. Without them we are not complete in this human experience. I co-owned a monthly inspirational magazine in which I was proofreader, copy editor as well as advertising manager - it was a small, family run magazine. I have also copy edited and proofread a book for an author who wanted the story of her life/childhood to be told to help others step up in life and face their abuse issues. I have also recently copy edited and proofread a Personal Development course for an internet-based business. I have also helped charities and social businesses put together comprehensive funding applications for grants after having reasearched the field and found a match for the organisation seeking money.
